The Grand Union Hotel, Fort Benton
Built in 1882 in Montana's oldest town, local lore says a cowboy rode his horse into the hotel, and the owner shot and killed him in the hotel. To this day, patrons claim to hear horse hooves or see a man in a duster roaming the halls. Others say sometimes room 202 has blue lights that dance across the room. Pollard Hotel, Red Lodge
Opening in 1893, The Pollard Hotel boasts guests like Buffalo Bill Cody and Calamity Jane. Some guests claimed to have watched The Sundance Kid rob a bank that was on the corner of the building. The 3rd floor is said to be home to most of the haunted sightings, like a woman in a Yellow dress, and a ghost that likes to play practical jokes. Chico Hot Springs
Opened in 1900 by William and Percy Knowles, this hotel began as a 10 room boarding house, and at one time, there was even a hospital wing. Percy Knowles died in 1941, and people claim to see her in the hotel to this day as the Lady in White. Get your room at Chico Hot Springs by clicking here.
Sacajawea Hotel, Three Forks
This is one of two hotels that are said to be the most haunted in the state. (The next is below.)
Built in 1910 By John Q. Adams due to the railroad, guests claim to see Adams wandering the halls to this day. There's also been several sightings of a housekeeper that appears then vanishes through walls. Three Forks police have been called many times over disturbances, only to find nothing going on. Many Glacier Hotel
Opened in 1917 in Glacier National Park, this is arguably the most haunted hotel in Montana.
Guests and employees have reported numerous things over its 100+ year history like a woman in Red appearing in rooms, smelling perfume or cigar smoke in the hallways when the hotel is closed for the season, even all the lights in the hotel turning red or a mysterious cassette tape of piano playing when there is no one around.
