Two Montana Banks Make Forbes List of ‘World’s Best Banks’

Forbes has come out with its annual list of the World's Best Banks for 2024 and two Montana banks have been recognized.

In the annual list, Forbes explains that this year they are especially focused on banks that "maintain consumer trust and meet their clients' financial needs in this economic climate" citing factors like the collapse of multiple banks and the advent of AI as contributing to this focus.

How the Forbes World's Best Banks List Was Created

The list itself used survey data of bank users compiled by Statista. Users were asked about satisfaction with the following:

• trustworthiness
• terms and conditions
• customer service
• digital services
• quality of financial advice

Montana Banks Included in World's Best Banks 2024

With 403 banks worldwide on the list, having two Montana banks recognized is a major accomplishment. Congratulations to:

• Glacier Bancorp Inc. - Kalispell
• Stockman Bank - Billings

Within the list, banks were ranked within each country. Stockman Bank ranked 47th and Glacier Bancorp ranked 7th in the United States. Glacier Bancorp was acknowledged by Forbes in 2023 among America's and the World's Best Banks. Stockman Bank said in a press release that this is the third time they have been recognized.

"This award is particularly special as it reflects the trust our customers put in us to their financial needs," said Bill Coffee, Stockman Bank CEO in a press release.

Glacier Bancorp Inc. has 16 bank divisions across the western United States and is a publically traded bank holding company. Stockman Bank is Montana's largest, family-owned, community bank.
