Christmas is the quiet season in Montana's national parks.  Tourists are not as abundant, the snow muffles the sounds, and the animals roam the park more freely.

Christmas in Yellowstone From Yellowstone.org and Yellowstone Trips

It's hard to imagine a more beautiful place to spend Christmas than in Yellowstone National Park.  The geysers must be quite the site with the hot water making contact with the cold air forming crystals that glisten in the light creating a scene and a holiday feeling you can only get under the quiet of the big sky.
