Even with time left to enjoy summer in Montana, many people are preparing to send their child off to school.  It may be the very first day they are preparing for, the transition to middle or high school, perhaps even sending one off for the very first experience of college.  Yes, college.  Back to school time includes our colleges this time of year, and you and your child can get a jump start through the State Days Program.

Joining Montana State University During the Annual State Days Program

To better prepare students for the upcoming academic year, Montana State University offers State Days to bring parents and students together to learn more about what the Bobcats offer.

State Days is a chance for families to visit the campus, to take advantage of this free program which allows students to stay on campus in MSU residence halls, eat in dining halls, learn about the admissions process, and apply and be admitted all before the summer ends.

The program is offered exclusively to Montana resident students and is an opportunity to learn about paying for school, living on campus, academic programs, next steps, important deadlines, and more.  Another benefit to attending the State Days is priority housing for the fall 2024 terms.

I'm Sold!  How Do I Sign Myself or My Child Up for State Days?

This is the easy part.  Simply head to the Montana State University State Days website for all the details and to get signed up for it.

If you have other questions, you can email admissions@montana.edu or phone them, M-F, 8am-5pm MT at 1-888-MSU-CATS.

The Annual Bobcat Gold Rush Game Is Another Favorite On Campus

The day was hot and so were the Bobcats. The first game of the season against McNeese State, and the Bobcats were ready to send those Cowboys back to the south.

Temperatures close to 100 degrees, didn't stop our Bobcats OR their dedicated fans. Bobcat Football brings out fans of all ages to cheer and be a part of a dream for many youth. Future Bobcats right here? I hope so, they already have amazing spirit!

The Bobcats took the win with ease, staying one step ahead of the McNeese Cowboys, the team looked fresh, ready, and the end score proved they were ready to come out on top of the season opener.

With a final score of 40-17, the Bobcats put the southern boys back on a plane with their first loss of the season, and the first win for our Bobcats.

Week two is just around the corner with a home game on September 10th, which also brings the Military Appreciation game. Just one way we love to show our Military Personnel an extra THANK YOU.
