New Changes to Sieben Ranch Block Management for Hunting in 2026
You may be thinking that fall and hunting season are still a tad bit out on the calendar. In reality, hunting season for some is already underway with antelope bow opening a couple of weekends ago in Montana.

It won't be long before camouflage gear will be replacing golf shirts for a good portion of the population. But, with each new season, there are always adjustments being made to regulations by the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks division. This year, a popular location near Lincoln will be adjusted for block management areas.

New Changes to Sieben Ranch Block Management for Hunting in 2026
MFWP has announced that effective for the upcoming 2026 hunting season, those wishing to hunt on block management areas of the Sieben Ranch will need to make some different arrangements to gain access.

For this year, the Sieben Ranch's Horsefly Creek Block Management Area will require written permission for access. Interested hunters should contact Sieben Ranch/Cathy Baucus at 406-442-2228; call will be taken from Wednesday, August 26 through Friday, August 28 from 10am to 2pm. The area will be limited to 10 hunters per day and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Horsefly Creek BMA will not be available for camping.
Separate Area for Parking Now Available for Hunters at Sieben Ranch BMA Land
As part of the announcement, MFWP also said that the Sieben Ranch's Keep Cool Hills BMA would require hunters to adjust their parking areas. New parking areas have been added, and camping is now limited to three days during a 21-day period. To view the parking map, visit the MFWP informational .pdf file here.
