Legacy Award Winner for 2024 from Great Falls
If you happen to find yourself in Great Falls, do yourself the favor of making the time to stop into the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. It is truly one of the jewels of the crown that is our city.
But it wasn't always there. It took the hard work of many people, led by Bill Sherman starting in 1984. His leadership and determination and large donation on his own made the center possible, opening in 1998.
Honoring Those Following the Footsteps of Previous Volunteers
Each year, the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation awards the Bill Sherman Legacy award to a recipient. The award is bestowed annually to the one person along the National Lewis and Clark Trail who best demonstrates the dedication and enthusiasm to keep the story of Lewis and Clark alive.
