Human Trafficking Statistics in the World and in Montana
According to the US Department of State, the statistics for human trafficking across the world are staggering. In the 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report, it was estimated 27 million people are exploited for labor, services, and commercial sex.

For Montana, those statistics continue to be incredibly large numbers. The Montana Department of Justice reports that the number of cases that are being tracked in the state went from 7 in 2015 to 106 in 2022, an increase of 1,400 percent.
Great Falls/Cascade County Crimestoppers Hosting New Seminar on Trafficking
The Great Falls/Cascade County Crimestoppers will be hosting an event on October 15, 2024, to address the concern of human trafficking in our city, county and state. "Look Beneath the Surface - Human Trafficking in Montana" will be held at Alliance for Youth at 3220 11th Avenue South beginning at 6pm.

The presentation features an agent with the MDOJ Human Trafficking Unit and a detective with the GFPD Internet Crimes Against Children Department. Open to the public, attendees will learn how to recognize human trafficking and what to do if you witness this crime.
