We are set in just a few weeks to turn the page on 2025 and welcome in 2026 across the world. In Great Falls, it looks like we may be turning the page on developing more businesses making their debut within the city also.

A major player in the world of delivery service will hopefully be opening soon, and I can see why they are setting up show now for the upcoming whirlwind in 2026 and 2027. Just a few months ago, Great Falls was buzzing with word of an Amazon Distribution Center being located here. (See original story here)

As first reported, news about the center has been fairly hush hush in the Electric City, but signage has shown up at a location in town that would indicate the facility would be a go. And there is now news that could mean even bigger things on the horizon for this center and the Great Falls area.
Reports State that Amazon Might Not Renew Contract with USPS
News reports are indicating that Amazon may pull the package volume of delivery from the United States Postal Service (USPS). Their delivery agreement expires towards the end of 2026 and talks to renew haven't been productive as of yet.
What Does All of it Mean to Great Falls and the Distribution Center?
This new development between Amazon and USPS might be a good thing for Great Falls in my personal opinion. Sure, having the distribution center located here is wonderful, but could it also mean some bigger things on the horizon for the company in our city? Perhaps so. Imagine if Great Falls became the main distribution center for Montana, or even further reaching areas. What do you think, is it a boom or possible bust for Great Falls?
