Director of Business Operations at GFPS Set to Retire

Great Falls Public Schools will soon be on the search for a new Director of Business Operations.  In an announcement through social media, Superintendent Heather Hoyer said that Brian Patrick would be retiring in June of this year.

Longstanding Career in Public Education and as Director in Great Falls

In making the announcement on Thursday, April 17th, Hoyer said that after 44 years of dedicated public education work Patrick would be stepping down as of June 30, 2025.

Patrick has served several roles through the years, with the last 14 of them serving as the Director of Business Operations for GFPS.  The release stated that his "career spans impactful service as a teacher (8 years), Principal and Activities Director (4 years), Superintendent (18 years), and finally as the Director of Business Operations for Great Falls Public Schools (14 years)."

Superintendent Hoyer Continues Praise; New Director Search to Start Soon

Superintendent Hoyer added a personal note in the release, saying:

Brian is a valued and important part of our school and community. To say he will be missed is an understatement of the positive impact he has had.  Please join me in expressing our gratitude to Brian for his extraordinary service and in wishing him the very best in his well-deserved retirement. He leaves a legacy of excellence, and we are better for having had him on our team.

A search for a replacement for Patrick will begin next week in Great Falls.
