Cover Photo- Impassable When Wet Is Not An Invite- Its A Warning

County roads are maintained with county tax dollars.  These roads are used by school buses, garbage trucks and by farmers and ranchers tending to their livestock and fields.  Unfortunately some of these roads are abused by a handful of people.

County Road North of Great Falls tore up after recent moisture.

Keep reading to see a picture gallery of the road as well as the mess that left was behind by a few thoughtless individuals.

The road in this story is primarily used for agricultural purposes.  There are a few families that live in the area, but they use a different road most the time.  When this road is in good shape, it is the shortest route going  to Great Falls.

Why does it matter? The county is able to dispatch a road grader every 5-6 years to work on this road. The ruts and destruction of the road is something that residents in this area will have to deal with for a long time.  I was watching a farmer try to pull a seeder and sprayer down the road to his field and it was obvious he was struggling with the road.

Open statement to those that do this:  This is destruction of public property and it is a shame that your mom and dad didn't teach you any better.  Your parents should be ashamed of you!

For some of you, I understand this is the path you take to shoot your guns year around. Once again- you are breaking the law.  I do not know if you have permission from the property owner, but I am sure that littering is illegal.  Once again, your parents should be embarrassed with you and with themselves for the lack of morals you have!
