In addition to molding the young minds of America for the future, one of their duties during school hours is to ensure the safety of our kids.

Back in the day, that used to mean simply making sure our kiddos had minimal scrapes and bruises from the playground; nowadays, that can mean something entirely different.
Cascade County Sheriff's Office Offers A Solution For School Safety
It's unfortunate, but many of us are used to hearing about school shootings in the news. We shouldn't be, but there are bad people out there who keep bringing terror into our community and we witnessed that recently with the shooting of a church in Minnesota back on August 27th - again, where children were present.
Recently, Cascade County Sheriff's Office shared a video highlighting the benefits of placing armed officers in schools along with their training regime. These officers are also known as SROs (school resource officer).

As you might expect, the role of these officers is to keep the kids safe and prevent any potential shootings or other tragedies that might take place.
People have differing opinions on placing armed officers in schools with our children with some supporting the extra safety precautions, while others feel it could be taking things a little too far.
