I'm not sure how much you monitor the Facebook community pages, but one thing is for sure: people are not shy about sharing their opinions on them.

To be honest with you, it's pretty rare that I actually agree with what folks have to say on many of the Great Falls community pages on Facebook.

It seems that the negativity runs rampant on social media, and frankly, I don't have the time or energy to deal with it.

But one thing did stand out to me after reading a post I saw.

The post revolved around the recent snow and getting stuck in vehicles.

Helping People Who Are Stuck In The Snow

The post asked other readers about assisting people stuck in the snow.

This individual had been stuck for quite some time, and numerous cars passed by without helping.

What was most shocking about the post was how many people responded and had very similar stories.

Evidently, it's common to get stuck in the snow and have numerous cars drive by without offering any help.

With comments like this on Facebook, other residents began asking when Great Falls became so rude.

Are People In Great Falls Rude?

I considered long and hard whether it was rude not to stop and help someone who was stuck in the snow.

And here's my personal opinion on the matter.

When I was younger, my friends and I, who all had rather large trucks at the time, would drive around town to help stuck cars.

But in today's day and age, everyone is incredibly sue happy, which makes me wonder; Is it even a good idea to stop and help someone?

Heaven forbid you stop to help them, put a dent in their car, or injure someone.

If that happens, the next thing you know, you're in the middle of a lawsuit!

In my humble opinion, people are not rude; it boils down to the potential consequences if something goes wrong.
