Montana Continues Crackdown on Motel Drug Dealers with Latest Sentencing
Man, what is it with motels and drug dealers? We have yet another story about a major drug bust that took place in a motel but don't worry, this one wasn't in Great Falls... but it was equally if not worse than the situation that took place in Great Falls.
Drugs Sold Out of Billings Motel
The U.S. Attorney's Office District of Montana announced another drug dealer has been sentenced as part of the state's crackdown on the drug trade.
According to officials, 53-year-old Shawn Leon Anderson, 53, was selling meth, cocaine, and fentanyl out of a Rodeway Inn motel in Billings one to two times a month for around three months straight.

Anderson reportedly told law enforcement that his reason for operating a drug operation out of a motel room was so that he "didn't draw attention to his house in Billings."
I mean... I think he thought he had a good idea, but what did he think would happen if he sold all those drugs out of that motel room?! Especially considering that officials reported finding a pound of fentanyl, three-quarters of a pound of meth, twenty grams of cocaine, and about $4,753 in cash.
Billings Motel Drug Dealer Gets Sentenced
I mean, if I had to take a wild guess at what the clientele might look like... I feel like it'd only be a matter of time before he would get noticed at a motel; unless I'm crazy?
For his crimes, Anderson will be spending the next six and a half years in prison with four more years of supervised release.

I want to stress again that this kind of news is good news. Some might say this is proof of more crime coming to Billings but we wouldn't have even heard about it or even noticed it had law enforcement not stopped him, right?
Chalk this up as another success story of law enforcement getting drugs off the street.
