They say Mars Inc., makers of Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Snickers, and many others, have repeatedly failed at their promises in 2001, then again in 2005, 2008, 2010, and most recently in 2020 to change how they make their chocolate, by stopping the use of child and slave labor.

In 2023, CBS reported that "children as young as five years old were working in the Mars supply chain in Ghana in dangerous and deadly conditions."
