Amazon Sold Smoke Detectors That Could Be Risky
Here is why you might want to pay attention. If you recently picked up a smoke detector off Amazon, there is a chance it could actually put you at risk.
Smoke detectors are supposed to detect smoke in the air and sound off right away to alert your family to danger. That early warning can make all the difference.
The problem is that certain detectors sold in a three-pack on Amazon were built with their sensors set too high. That means they might not go off until a fire is already well underway. At that point, the damage is done.
