Overall crime in America is at a 50-year low, according to the FBI data that gets put out each year.
However, it doesn't always seem that way, thanks to the 24-hour news cycle and even social media.
I can't even count how many times I've seen posts on Facebook with grainy images of criminals and people asking for information on said person.

The website Property Club looked at that FBI data, compiled all the violent crimes that happen in Montana, and came up with their list of the 10 most dangerous towns to be in after dark.
That means if you want to keep you and your family safe in these towns, it's best to be in your homes or at least close to them once the sun goes down.
