Viral Video Shows Grizzly Bears In Montana

Spring in Montana is when everything starts waking up, and that includes some of the biggest wildlife we’ve got out there.

A video making the rounds on Facebook is a pretty good reminder of just how close that wildlife really is.

Montana Growth Is Pushing Into Bear Habitat

Riawna Marie shared a clip showing a couple of female grizzlies with their cubs walking across a field just outside of Dupuyer.

At first, it’s one of those moments where you’re just in awe. It’s not every day you see a grizzly, let alone multiple bears with cubs. But then it hits you how dangerous they are and how close they are to where people live.

As Montana keeps growing and more areas get developed, we’re pushing further into what used to be their habitat. That means sightings like this are probably going to become more common.

Why Bear Awareness Matters In Spring

It’s also a good reminder that this time of year, being bear-aware really matters.

Bears are coming out of hibernation hungry and active, and if you’re dealing with a mom and her cubs, they’re going to be especially protective. It’s an incredible video, but Riawna did it right by staying in her car and keeping her distance.

Go ahead and watch the video, but also keep scrolling to check out some of the places you’re most likely to run into a bear here in Montana.
