Costco’s Famous $1.50 Hot Dog Combo Is Changing
If there’s one thing Costco is known for, it’s that $1.50 hot dog combo.
Over the years, prices have gone up on just about everything else in the store, but that hot dog and drink has somehow stayed at $1.50. Now, there are a couple of changes coming in 2026.

How Much The Costco Hot Dog Would Cost With Inflation
Since 1985, Costco members have been able to grab a hot dog and a 20 oz refillable drink for that same price.
Run it through it through an inflation calculator, the combo should cost you $4.60, which still feels like a decent lunch deal, but it equates to a 206.9% increase.
So if you’re worried they’re finally raising the price, don’t be. That’s not the change here. There are actually two updates, and one of them might rub some people the wrong way.
What Is Changing With The Costco Hot Dog Combo In 2026
The first change is more on the healthier side. Instead of just the soda, you’ll now have the option to swap it out for a 16.9 oz bottle of Kirkland water and still pay $1.50 for the combo.
The second change is that Costco will now limit the deal to members only, which, honestly, a lot of people probably thought was already the case, myself included.
And if you think that’s strict, wait until you see the stuff that’ll have you getting walked out of Costco in Montana mid-sample.
